Venture VIEW is an interactive onsite portfolio experience designed for BCGDV. To view the portfolio works, visitors go on an explorative tour throughout the office by using tablets or mobile devices that reveal XR portfolio contents triggered by iBeacons. As they travel through the the space, visitors use their devices as a "window" to peek inside 5 different parallel universes in different locations.

Lead a multidisciplinary team including UXR, Product Design, ENG, Motion Design and Video Production.

BCGDV wanted to have a design portfolio to showcase the successful projects. However, due to strict confidentiality agreements, works cannot be directly shown to the public - regular showcase mediums like Websites, pdfs, prints are not an option.
At the same time, dozens of tours in office are given on a weekly basis...
We mapped 5 key spots in offices, embedded 5 iBeacons in each spot, defined a prix fixe touring route.
Each visitor is given an iPad at the beginning of the tour, as they travel through the office, MR portfolio content will be triggered automatically by iBeacons.
We walked around office for few rounds to test where to best position the iBeacons so that even with touring route changing contents will still be triggered on visitor's ipad.
we observed few office tours, mapped 5 key spots in offices, embedded 5 iBeacons in each spot, defined a prix fixe touring route. Each visitor is given an iPad at the beginning of the tour, as they travel through the office, MR portfolio content will be triggered automatically by iBeacons.
Parallel universe appears automatically when visitors reach certain location in the office.
Each parallel universe somewhat matches with the actual location in the office to create dual reality overlaps.
Featured venture projects are seamlessly embedded on different objects in each universe, such as billboards, cargo ship boxes, shelves, etc. Visitors can tap on the objects to view project details.
Media tower universe matches with the interior design of BCGDV Manhattan beach headquarter office patio. However in this alternative universe the building grows into infinity. Multiple videos telling the stories about BCGDV are presented as building size advertising screens.
Mobility land universe "locates" in the doorway outside of conference room with open windows overlooking green lands. In this alternative universe, threes are floating and streets can defy gravity. Interactive billboards featuring successful ventures which twisted the rules of conventional travel schemes to fit the needs of the mobile age.
Cloud market universe "locates" in the elevator entrance of the BCGDV headquarter office. In real life visitors go up to office via elevators, little do they know there is an even higher up supermarket in the air waiting for them in this alternative universe. We featured some of the finest digital services established by BCGDV in here, which connect people and help make each other’s life easier.
Industrial harbor universe "locates" in the intersection of different venture rooms - the most heavy traffic area in office, just like a busy harbor. In here, numerous BCGDV cargo boxes are processed with DV engines. Visitors are drawn into the digital hub for Industrial Goods, where industry connects with tech to fuel centuries old businesses into the digital age.
Health portal universe "locates" in the reception area, where the visual aesthetic of both universes are in perfect alignment. This universe represents the future of Health. Improving patient treatment through big data insights and connecting people to a healthier life.
